CS02 – 1 Day Confined Space Entry Low Risk Course

COURSE INFORMATION

Purpose of the course:

This course delivers 7 hours Accredited *CPD classroom and practical instruction and is aimed at operatives who may need to carry out a low risk confined space entry with adequate natural or mechanical ventilation.

Access into the space appears simple and unobstructed and there is no likely risk of flooding and the area remains safe under normal working conditions (ie. meter pits, valve chambers). Gas monitoring may be required to ensure the atmospheric conditions prior to and during the work and/or entry remain acceptable.  Assistance to enter and exit the space by the use of a tripod, winch and wearing of a harness may also be required.

On completion of the course delegates should be able to identify typical confined spaces, understand the risks that may be present or introduced and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place prior to entering a low risk confined space.
