CS01: ½ Day Confined Space Awareness Course - On Site

Purpose of the course
This ½ day course is designed to introduce delegates to the main requirements of Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L101 - Safe work in confined spaces (Confined Spaces Regulations 1997), so that they have a thorough understanding of their legal obligations with regards to planning, managing and supervising confined space activities.

On completion of the course, delegates will have the requisite knowledge to be able to identify typical confined spaces, understand the risks and the need to employ competent operatives to deliver a safe system of work.

Problem Atmospheres (Gases & Gas Monitoring)
Safe Systems of Work
Work Team Roles & Duties
The Requirement for an Emergency & Rescue Plan
First Aid & Medical Considerations
Chapter 6 Safety Rule Book (where applicable)
Duration and Certification
Half day (am 09:00-12:00 or pm 13:00-16:00)

10 delegates maximum per course

Morsafe Limited E- certificates (valid for 3 years)
Course requirements and prerequisites
Delegates must have a good command of the English language

No practical training exercises will take place during this course

No specific equipment is required for this course

Attendance on this Confined Space Awareness Course on its own is NOT suitable for any persons who may have to ENTER a confined space
