Height safety is of the utmost importance in many different industries. Anyone involved with organising, planning or supervising working at height, or supplying or maintaining equipment should complete relevant training. Employers have a responsibility to ensure their workers are safe, and that work at height is properly planned and managed.

Work at Height Regulations are in place for all work environments and state legal requirements that businesses must follow. Many workers and employers choose to become an authorised person for working at height because it demonstrates skills and knowledge in the area. If you are wondering how to become an authorised person for working at height, then read on.

Authorised Person (Working at Height) AP07 Courses

To become an authorised person for working at height, you will need to complete a training course. Our AP07 course is a three-day course that takes places at various locations and can be held on-site. It covers classroom instruction on the requirements of working on Restricted High Places.

The focus is on ensuring that a Safe Systems of Work is managed, implemented and controlled at all times.

After completing the course, you will have all the knowledge you need to identify and advise on working at height activities. During the course, we will cover the associated risks, competency of operatives and quality of equipment.

At the end of the three days, learners complete a multiple-choice test paper and a scenario-based assessment.  If successful, you will then receive a CPD Accredited Certificate of Training which is valid for three years.
