CS08 - 1 Day Supervising Teams in Confined Spaces Course - On Site
Purpose of the course
This one day course is designed to provide 7 hours of classroom instruction with assessment to introduce or remind delegates of the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L101 - Safe work in confined spaces (Confined Spaces Regulations 1997) and the principles laid down in the National Occupational Standards for Supervising teams undertaking work in confined spaces.
On completion of the course, delegates should be able to carry out the duties of a supervisor of confined spaces responsible for multiple teams working at any one time. It includes putting together work teams, planning pre-entry procedures, making sure all the safety and emergency equipment is available and checking that team members working in confined spaces are following safety procedure. It also includes responding to and taking over direct supervision of confined spaces during emergency situations in conjunction with the rescue team controller where utilised.

Course requirements and prerequisites
Delegates must have a good command of the English language.
Attendance on a CS03: 2 Day Medium Risk Confined Space Entrant & Entry Controller course (or equivalent) is a prerequisite for this course as the training standard is for supervisors of confined space operations only
